Project Description

Between Sea Stacks – Rialto Beach, Washington

A frothy Pacific tide swells between towering sea stacks and swirls around the feet of two young explorers. With easy access to a dramatic coastline, Washington’s Rialto Beach is a beacon for adventurers of all ages. The beach is part of a protected coastal strip within Olympic National Park, one of the last remaining wilderness coasts on the US western seaboard. Just a few miles wide and 73 miles long, much of the protected coastline was added, in 1988, to the national wilderness preservation system. The exquisite coastline, along with the park’s mountainous and thickly forested interior, attract about 3 million visitors annually.
