Project Description

Winter Vale – Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado

The jutting prow of Hallett Peak emerges from a veil of snow clouds that float above Tyndall Gorge. This winter cloaked valley is tucked away in the rugged folds of Rocky Mountain National Park. Teaming with people in the summer months, Tyndall Gorge provides pristine solitude in the depths of winter. The park encompasses approximately 415 square miles, 79 named peaks higher than 12,000 feet, including Hallett Peak at 12,720 feet, and more than 350 miles of trails. The trails and surrounding scenery attract over 2 million visitors a year.
